Kylian Mbappe has admitted that his La Liga debut for Real Madrid was far from ideal, describing the 1-1 draw against Mallorca as “not a good result.”

The French superstar, who made an impressive start to his Real Madrid career by scoring in the UEFA Super Cup win over Atalanta, struggled to find his rhythm in the league opener on Sunday.

Despite high expectations and talk of him potentially scoring 50 goals this season, Mbappe was unable to make his mark against Mallorca.

Rodrygo managed to find the back of the net for Real Madrid, but Mbappe and Vinicius Junior often found themselves operating too closely on the left flank.

Mbappe, still adapting to Carlo Ancelotti’s system, acknowledged the challenges of integrating into the team’s star-studded attack.

In a post on Sunday on his Instagram story following the match, he expressed his determination to move forward.

“Not a good result. Heads up and already focused on the next one. Hala Madrid,” he wrote.

Real Madrid will hope that in their next La Liga fixture against Real Valladolid, their potent attacking trio of Mbappe, Vinicius, and Rodrygo can find the spark they need to trouble opponents.
